Swink has returned from a visit with her sister at Solo. Mrs. R. A. Olmstead went to Port land on Saturday. Miss Frances Scallon returned with her to wend the week end. A consignment of refugee gar ments has been received by the Dun dee Red Gross Auxiliary. The work is plain skirts for women and all members of the local Red Cross, are asked to take some of them home to make. A call for clothing for the Bel gian and French refugees has been received, also requests for. any arti cle of clothing or household furnish ing that could be sold at the Red Cross shop. Please pass the word to your neighbor and take your con tributions to .Community Hall on Tuesday next. An interesting and enthusiastic meeting of the Dundee Red Cross was held on Thursday evening. Thirty-five guests assembled at the home of Mrs. Louisa Hobson on last Tuesday afternoon at a surprise given In her honor by her daughters, Mrs. D. A. Joneg and Mrs. Goldie White. To say that she was sur prised would be putting It mildly. A very delightful afternoon was spent In the good old fashioned way, after which dainty refreshments were served. Mrs. Hobson and her family expect to leave'on Thursday for their new home at Wasco in Eastern • Oregon.
