The Government has asked the Com m ittee for
R elief in the Near East to undertake the rescue
work among these victim s o f Turkish oppression.
Dpring the past year the Com m ittee has cared for
over 900,000 refugees w ho otherwise would have
perished.

There are now 4,000,000 .dependent upon the
Com m ittee for relief. O f this number 400,000 are
children, many of them little more than babies,
whose parents have died o f privation or been
murdered by the Tuik.
