He expects to move his fam ily to Astoria soon, where he is employed in the shipyards. A very interesting Easter pro gram was giveu at the church Sunday morning, under the direc tion of-Mrs. F. D. Frost.#0ne of the visitors of the morning was Emil Swansou, superintendent of the Friends Sunday school work, of Portland. « A. A. Lindberg has been at St. Martin *8 Hot Springs for the past two weeks in the hope that the waters would benefit him. Miss Halcyon Wiley, who has been working at Seotts Mills for the past few weeks, is home for a few days. M.r and Mrs. W. M. Roberta, of Portland, visited1 Sunday with Mrs. Roberts’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. 0. Woodworth. The Red Cross box social giveu Friday-evening was a decided suc cess, over $50 being raised from the sale of tile beautiful patriotic boxes. C. H. Jones donated a set ting of pure blood White Leghorn' eggs, which brought a neat sum to add to the fund, and Mrs. C. H. Jones baked oue of her famous cakes, which brought $3 to the cause. A short, lively program was given before the sale under the supervision of Mrs. A. J. Hes kett, the various numbers of which were much enjoyed. It is planned to give a program at the end of the month for the Red Cross, which will be well worth attend ing. F. D. Frost auctioned off the boxes in such a professional man- -ner that no doubt his services will be requisitioned very frequently hereafter. Mr. and Mrs. L. Reed Chambers attended Easter services in Port land Sunday. Armenian relief msnev to the amount of $62.80 was raided in this community, of which Chehalem raised $8 and Parrot Mountain $6.75. April 6, a play will be given by Fernwood talent in the Dundee Community Hal, the proceeds to be divided equally between Fernwood and the loeal Red Cross. Mrs. Mary C. Spencer is visit ing Mr. and Mrs. George H. Greer. Mrs. Raymond Spencer, of Fort Stanley, Wash., and Miss Cornelia J. Spencer and little niece from Portland were Easter vacation visitors at Otterbrook. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Noble and Miss Eleanor Harris are spending a few of these fine garden days at the Noble home. Miss Susan Tucker, of Portland, is visiting her aunt, Miss Sally Beck. Frank C. Little, of Portland, was a week-end guest of Dr. and Mrs. Wm. L. Bishop. Friends of Mrs. Ella Langellier are pleased at the prospect of her moving hack to Dnndee. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Train, of Newberg. are occupying the <*amp house at Otterbrook, and Mr. Traip will help with the spring work.
