In various departments of the church's activity the year has seen a number o f decided ad­ vances, and there is abundant promise o f a good year for 1916- 17. Visitors were present from four other yearly m e e t id g s , namely, Iow a, Indiana, Western and California. Among those who were prominent in the ser­ vices o f the yearly meeting were Thomas E. Jones, field secretary of the Young Friends Movemeot of the Five Years Meeting of Friends in America; Levi 8. Cox, of Winchester, Indiana, who gave a series of addresses on'tbe tabernacle; Joseph Sopher and wife, o flo w a ; Mahlon Perry, of E a s t Whittier, C a l i f o r n i a ; Lurana Terrell, o flo w a ; Tenny­ son Lewis and wife, o f Everett, Washington, and W. E.
