THE WEST CHEHALEM RAND MAKES A HIT On Tuesday at the Memorial Day exercises the West Cbeha lem Cornet Band made its first appearance in Newberg, and dur ing the day contributed much to the various exercises held. The band led tbe procession in the march to the cemetery and played several selections after tbe arrival there. At the noon hoar while the big spread was on at the hall, they added zest to the occasion, and in the even ing they gave a concert on the street, which was greatly appre ciated. The boys play well for tbe time they have been practicing.
