After marry ing Thomas Martin in the early seventies, 'she moved with her few days and the people o f the community were quick to seize the rare opportunity afforded them,— The schools o f the nranrty were dosed wink the snow remained and Sunday came and went with no Sunday school and church services. The grippe soon mack its appearance to add to the vicissitudes o f a people unused to a snow storm such as we then had. Some of the families are still suffering from the ravages o f this disease.
