JUDGE GALLOWAY EF FECTS RECONCHJATION Fatherly Advice •That in Coart (A ltxuir Democrat.) A suit involving property rights, growing out o f family troubles with the father, a paraletic, on one side, and hiswife and nine children on the other, came t o one of the most dramatic endings yesterday afternoon that has been witnessed here. The case was tried before Cir cuit Judge Galloway. Theplain- tiff and father, Joseph R. God win, was carried into the court room in a chair by four men. Present in the court room during the trial, were the wife and all but tw o children, the defendants in the case. As the taking o f testimony progressed, they plain ly showed their antagonistic feel ings towards the plaintiff, with sneers at witnesses in behalf o f Godwin who testified. The story o f Judge Galloway’s own life, coupled with a splendid eulogy on family troubles in which he told the defendants that they had not considered the cross nature oF the plaintiff, as the result o f his illness, brought the case to its dramatic close, after the taking of testimony and without argu ment by attorneys. So pathetic and pronounced was the judge in his appeal to them, that sev eral of the defendants wept. The husband sat, bent over and tenderly embraced him, sobbing openly. His eldest son, whom a moment before, was so antag onistic to his father, lifted him from the chair and carried the in valid in his arms out of the court room. The result is that all o f the parties have returned to their: homes and will settle the case- out o f court. Judge G allow ay immediately dismissed it. The case was a peculiar on e.. He sought a decree from the court declaring him to be the owner o f all the land he deeded to his family. At the conclusion of the taking of testimony, Judge Galloway sprang his surprise. He gave a s p l e n d i d eulogy o f family troubles, cited how the defend ants had ill treated the plaintiff in many respects, and how they had not taken into consideration that his cross nature was the result o f illness. The judge told how his own father had suffered a stroke of paralysis, how he was cared tor at home, and how he died peacefully. The judge told of many instances that would substantiate his state ments and on a whole resorted to an eloquent plea, lor the fami ly to reunite. His object was amply accomplished. The entire family left the court house in the best o f spirits, after the dramatic scene in the court room and will adjust the case out o f court. i
