In olden times they split the tongues of gossips and scandal mongers. Wouldn’t there tie a lot of split tongues in Forest Grove if that rule was enforced here? There is no charity in a gossip carrier. I f every decent person would turn his back on such creatures when approach» d with some vile tale there would be fewer gossips.
