The, W. C. T. U. met at the
home of Mrs. J. C. WiHslast
Wednesday, April 10th, as Mrs.
Page was sick and could uot
have the meeting take place
there. Mrs. M. J. Johnson led
the devotional meeting. The
usual routine o f business w as
carried on and later the repre­
sentatives who attended the
county institute gave in a good
report o f the meeting which was
enjoyed by all. The Misses
Maude B. Wills, Mildred Wills
and Edna Everest attended the
institute. The m e e t i n g ad­
journed to meet with Mrs. Ella
Hendrickson, May 8th. A nice
lunch was served during the
social hour.
The Chehalem Center Literary
will hold its last meeting Fri­
day, April 19. There will be a
cantata “ The Saving of Duddie."
Rev. .Harvey D. Crumly will
have charge o f the Christian En­
deavor services n e x t Sunday
evening.
Mrs. C H. Crause, o f Min­
nesota, has been visiting Mrs.
Dearborn. Mrs. Crause is so
well pleased with Dundee that
-•be contemplates locating here.
Mrs. Harold Prince went to
Portland Tuesday.
William Ray is very ill with a
complication o f diseases.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Parrett
and family spent Sunday at the
Hunter home. Mr. Parrett has
made arrangements to move
back to Dundee as soon as the
Newberg schools close for the
summer vacation.
Thomas Prince left last week
■for an extended eastern trip. He
expects to return via Washing,
ton, D. C. and New Orleans.
. An interesting game o f baseball
was played Sunday with a team
from Champoeg, the score being
eleven to seven in favor o f Dun-
dee.

went to McMinnville on busi­

Mrs. Julia W. Little and son,
Francis C. Little, o f Portland,
were week end guests at Otter-
brook.
Mrs. Hurd and daughters, of
Newberg, drove up into the Red
Hills Sunday to enjoy the prune
trees whteh are in hill bloom this
week.
Several local fans attended the
opening game o f baseball at
Portland.
William Hill and family have
returned from a week's outing at
Corvallis and Newport. Mrs.
Hill promised to have a fish
story for the Graphic but since
she has not sent it in we suppose
it is the same old story o f ‘the
biggest fish that 1 just came near
catching."
Several residents o f the Red
Hills drove to New berg on the
sixteenth to hear Senator La
Follette.
Dr. Walter Spencer and son,
Theodore, Mr. and Mrs. Darney
and William Refenberg, o f Port­
land, and Raymond Spencer, of
Thateher, came out in an auto
from Portland Sunday to spend
the day with Theodore Spencer
and M in Jessie Spencert and to
help Mrs. E. S. Greer eat her
birthday dinner.
Mr. Newman who thinks some
ot locating in Dundee, spent Sun­
day with his brother’s children.

Ada Wallace Unruhat thechurch
on Sunday evening. Mrs. Unruh
is one o f the best speakers Dun­
dee has ever heard and those
who failed to hear her missed a
rare treat. A male quartet fur­
nished good music for .the oc­
casion.
