The young lady is a daughter o f Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Johnson, o f this city, is just budding into womanhood and is one whose pleasing per sonality has made her a favorite. She is studious, persistent, untir ing in her work and has justly earned the recognition accorded her last night. Miss Johnson has an ability and a reliance that make her especially fitted f o r a teacher and it is not improbable that as she continues her studies she will also teach. Her example might well be emulated by many other young women of this vicinity. In the recital last night Miss Johnson was assisted by a younger sister, Miss Lillian John son, and was accompanied by Genevieve Baum Gaskins, who added much to the pleasure of the program. SECOND ANNUAL ASSEMBLY Albany Chautauqua, July 7-16. The Chautauqua grounds for the Second Annual Assembly o f the Albany Chautauqua Associa tion are rapidly being gotten in to ideal condition.
