DEMONSTRATION IN DOMESTIC SCIENCE The regular bi-monthly meet­ ing of the Domestic section o f the Wednesday Clnb was held at Mrs. C. C. Ferguson’s on Wed­ nesday. The lesson tor the day took the form o f a demonstration dinner which was a practical showing of some of the principles o f cooking and serving which that section ot the clnb has been studying tor the last few months. Covers were laid for twenty-six. The courses were served by com­ mittees, each chamman taking pride in having her service ac­ cording to the most approved methods. After the dinner the regular monthly business meet­ ing o f the club was held. trouble on Sunday, April 2. The deceased was born, August 2,1844, in the town of Dramor, county o f Down, Ireland. At the age o f seventeen years he came to America, settling at Mendon, Michigan, -where he lived until the Fall o f 1895 when he came to Newberg, Oregon, where he resided up to the time o f his death. On February 23,1880he united in marriage with Estell Whitman who survives him. T o this union four children were born, namely Mrs. Roy Wassam, o f Salem, Mrs. James Walsh, ofWillamina, Mary Comic and Willie who died six years ago. Deceased had been a member o f the Maconic order tor 40 years. Interment was made Tuesday, the funeral services being con­ ducted by Rev. F. C. Stannard. The Pilgrimage.
