Important Meeting.
For several months the college
board has had under considera
tion a plan for raising a perma
nent endowment fund for the
college, and at a meeting ot the
board held Wednesday evening
it was decided to begin the work
at once. - Before entering on the
details of the work it was
thought best to call a public
meeting and invite all the friends
o f the college to meet together
and talk the matter over in a
very informal and friendly way.
Such a meeting is called to meet
at the college on Tuesday even
in g of next week at 7.30.
At this meeting no one will be
asked to make a subscription,
-or in any way pledge themselves
as to what they will do later.
The object o f the meeting is
«imply to get together as friends
o f the institution and discuss
plans for carrying out the work
which must be done in order to
keep Pacific College in line with
other progressive colleges in Ore
gon. Anyone reading this will
please accept it as an invitation
to attend this meeting.
