He boarded the first section of the train when it catne in, went through it, but failed to find her. As he came to the rear end the train started on, and, finding the rear door locked, he went to the forward end of the coach to get off. A t this time the train was moving rapidly, and as lie swung off, instead of letting go the handrail he held to it and was jerked under the train, when his foot was caught instantly by the rear wheels. The crippled man is 52 years of ago and is a carpenter by trade. He is a widower and has three children.
