Wi: have noticed in Hie papers lately,
accounts of an unusual number of coses of
seduction. Tim usual course will no
doubt he pursued in all these cases, which
is to inv'te all these unfortunate young
women to back seats, and regard them as
outcasts of society, while the equally guil
ty young men will make a change of lo
cation for a little while and then return,
to take their old places in society just Hie
same as though no stain rested on their
characters. In fact in many cases they will
lie treated w ith a little more respect and
consideration than before.
When tin-
eyes of so aety are properly opened ami
people conclude to “ call things by their
light names,” men will he held equally
responsible with women for evidences of
a luck of virtue, und when this is done the
number of these cases will he very ma
terially lessened.
