29th of December. Mr. Smith raised one
hundred bushels this year from seven

stolen horse, and found both the horse
and saddle. He returned and on Monday,

down to prove the property and bring it
homo. They returned Wednesday night
with the horse, saddle, bridle and halter.

On New Years Eve a company of young
folks stuitcd from town in a wagon with
no spring seats but plenty of side boards.
They came to a halt at the residence of
Mr. and Mrs. Alf Reese, about 11 miles
from town. Mr. and Mrs. Iicene were
not expecting company, but they noon
adjusted themselves to the merriment of
tlie visitors, and a pleasant time was the
result. The time was agoeablv spent in
playing games, pulling taffy and making
popcorn balls. They t aw tho olJ year

feeling that they had a good time.
