Pulls To Fore in Post Basketball Race | Casual Company once again moved to the front of the Post Basketball League, by squeezing out a narrow 40-38 decision over Co. C 58 Bn. this week. Casual thus became co-leader with idle A-56 with nine wins and one de feat and set the stage for the crucial Casual-Service b a t t l e Monday. Service likewise has suffered a lone setback. Last week’s sextet of one- blemish-apiece teams was cut to five as Civilian Personnel upset Supply Co. 46-24. Supply’s usual ly dependable offense nad a dis mal time of it, going sixteen full minutes in the second canto ! without scoring, after trailing at half 20-16. League’s No. 1 scorer, Bob Lipe, felt the effect; the 8 points Lipe managed was his low mark for the campaign. Klthu "Bud" Hurwitz The 56th Battalion left the Post basketball league last week to start on their three week prob lem, after compiling the best record for a single battalion since the league's formation.— A (9 -l), B(6-l>, C(4 5) — for a grand total of 19 wins against but seven losses. Of course the crowning glory was A's triumph over Service which perched Lt. Tony Krodrico’s orange and black at the top of the league.
