A special training schedule for
23 newly assigned members of
the M ilitary
Police company
here will start next week, ac­
cording to Capt. M. P. Coover,
Provost Marshal.
The men, all form er members
of engineer training battalions
who volunteered fo r military po­
lice duty, w ill be given a course
of instruction similar to that in
vogue at the M P training school,
Boise Barracks, Ida. The train­
ing program w ill be under the
direction o f Lt. Theodore E. Pen­
nington, assistant provost mar­
shal.
The course o f instruction in­
cludes training in Judo, hand to
hand combat, regulation, person­
al appearance, how to handle
emergency situations and other
duties common to military po­
lice detachment. The course op­
erates on a period plan and will
extend approximately six weeks.
