William Harrison Harvey, holder of four college degrees, at present temporarily assigned to the office of Camp Abbot’s Post Judge Advocate, is a des cendant of the same family of President William Henry Harri son, for whom he was named. Harvey practiced law in Cincin- nati before enlisting in the Army, as did the former presi- dent, who is buried near the sergeant’s home in the suburban district of Cincinnati. Harvey was admitted to the bar in Ohio in 1922 after grad- uating from University of Cin- cinnati, O., with an AB, LLB, LLM, and AM. Following admission to the bar he completed a post gradu- ate course at Ohio State Univer- sity and Newport, Ky., his resi- dence until joining the Army. In October 1942 he enlisted, obtaining a leave of absence from the U. S. District Engineer at Cincinnati, by whom he was employed in the legal depart- ment. Theo dore Lewy, a native of Prussia who spent most of his life in Hamburg, Germany, and more days than he likes to recall in German jails as a “ guest” of the Gestapo.
