Portland Welcome.] Powder Absolutely Pure Makes hot breakfast-breads wholesome—no yeast germs, no alum. Makes cake, biscuit and pastry of superior fineness, flavor and deli- cacy. Makes food that will keep moist and sweet. Is most economical, because it is the purest and greatest in leavening strength. Ia the easy, expeditious preparation of the finer cakes and pastries, Royal is indispensable. Care must be taken to avoid baking powders made from alum. Such powders are sold cheap, because they cost but a few cents per pound. Not only will they spoil the cake, hut alum is a corro sive acid, which taken in food means injury to h«:alth.
