Tuesday’s City Election.
The city election Tuesday has awaken
ed no particular interest outside of a
general scramble for the marahalship,
which pays >50 per month. Mavor
Dodge, Recorder Berry and Treasurer
Carter will have no opponents for their
respective places. The councilmen to
be elected in each ward are to succeed
C. H. Vaupel, C. H.* Gillette and D. Fox.
John R. Norri», republican committee
man, has called a city convention for
this evening at city hall. His call ia so
worded that all citizens are invited to
participate and that will probably be the
only city convention held. The ether
marshal candidates will probably go on
as independents.
