VALLEY RECORD RICH QI'AKTZ DISCOVERIES The <'an net-, . C H. Mueller, of the Willamette Packing Co., of Albany.was in the city several days during the past. week in ti rviewing our citizens on the subject of establishing a cannery in Ashland. Mr. Mueller i*ay* bis cannery intend« enlarging soon by organizing a stock company of the citizens. But as the future prospect* in the way of increas ed fruit growing in this section, be sides tbe adaptability ot this valley in raising more varieties of canable fruits, are of great advantage to tliem, they offered to move their present plant to Ashland if tbe people will take stock to the amount of $5,000 in the enter prise, without a bonus. No definite steps have been taken in the matter at present, as there is one profMisition up at the present time That Ashland will have a cannery by next season seems to be very favorable MEDl'OKI) DOING*.
