Frank Miller, Federal Customs Col lector, a chief deputy, said this morn ing that when the round-up takes place, the Pendleton round-up will only be a side issue. Mr. Miller has been in the county for aweek and has gathered a great deal of evidence, it was presumed from what he said. The other men are remaining here to complete the evidence for the big drive. The new interest of the govern ment in liquor violations comes under the new law which became effective July first, and this makes it a crime to even bring liquor into a dry state in your pocket. The government, however, is not looking for such viola tions, although a test to be taken to the United States supreme court will be made of the legality of personally carrying liquor into dry territory.
