“ LET HIM WHO IS WITHOUT SIN----- ”
In the Circuit Court again last week was threshed
over the depressing story of the two Bandon girls who
have been in the limelight so much in the last year or so.
The whole gruesome story of the downfall of the girls
was gone over again. Those who wish to read the de
tails will have to look for them in some chaste family
journal other than the Herald. Why any newspaper that
goes into the homes of the community, and which does not
have to do so, should spread the saddening and disgusting
story before its readers again is hard to understand. And
these people think that a board of censorship is needed fo rj,h:it *’ is ra,,st necessary to provide
motion pictures ! So far as the young victims of male de- 1" sl lu' tlie lleaviest "atfie, bat that

NO RESTICTIONS ?
The editor of this paper has always had a hazy idea
that there were some restrictions as to what could be pub
lished regarding a case in court, while it was still on trial.
He did not suppose that a paper would be allowed to place
in the hands of the jury before which the case was being
tried, comments, insinuations, charges and arguments
calculated to cause them to discredit the evidence on
either side of the case—even though th at might be the
aide of a defendant whom the newspaper had it in for. It
seems th at the editor of this paper was mistaken.
