crowded house, holding his audience
until »ibout 11:30. These meetings
hive b»en very successful and many
additions have been made to the
m mbership of tbe churches.
Mr.
T a i l o r ’s addresses have been free
from many of the objectionable
features on which some evangelists
d -p e n d for their effects, and he do-s

Unlike Dan Shan
non, he does not have a special pul

that he can smash it all to pieces in
his en th u siasm —at the exact psy
etiological moment.
He seems to
depend on appealing to the brains
and better nature of his hear-rs,
and there is no dou >t that tbe effect
of his work will last far longer than
th at of the charlelans who depend
altogetber on sensationalism for
their results. I t is safe to say that
be has accomplished real and la-ting
good in this town.

school boards c the county, which
is well worth the careful perusal of
every patron of the schools.
In
connection with this Supt. Baker is
sending out to every school district
large cards on which are printed
the different points on which the
schools will be judged. L ater every
school iu the county will be scored
and classified on each point, and
these cards will bo posted on the
walls of tha school room
To entitle it to a place in “Class
A,” a school must score 9(! percent,
and it is not liki ly th t any school
in the county will attain that stand

F o r “Class B” a smaller per
centage is required, but it is high
enough ao th it any school may be
