Section 3. No child under the
age of fourteen years shall be em>
ployed in any work, or labor of any
f< rm, for wages or other compensa
tion to whomsoever payable, duriog

of the town, district, or city in
which he or she resides are in ses
sion
Section 4. Attendance at school
shall be compulsory upon all child
ren between the ages of eight and
fourteen years in all cities, towns
and villages of the State of Oregon
during the whole of the school term
in the city, town or village in which
the child resides, and upon all
children in such city, towns and
villagis between the ages of four
teen and sixteen years who are not
employed in some lawful work.
Section 5 No child under six
teen years of age shall be employed
at any work before the hour of
seven in the morning, or after the
hour of six at night, nor employed
for looger than ten hours for any
one day, nor more than six days in
any one week; and every such
child, under sixteen years of age,
shall be entitled to not less than
thirty minutes for meal time at
noon, but Buch meal time shall not
be included as part of the work
hours of the day, and every em
ployer shall post in a conspicuous
place where such minors are em
ployed, a printed notice 'stating the
maximum work hours required in
one week, and in every day of the
week, from such minors.
