West- riek and J. Cist. Myrtle Point Items. Mr. Chas. Uroadbent took his de parture Friday to the Bay en route to San Francisco, where he goes on business. On his return the follow ing week, he wiil be accompanied by his wife’s mother, Mrs. Anna Barklovv, who has spent the last fall and winter visiting in southern Cal ifornia. Mrs. Ernest Bender was taken to Marshfield by her friends Saturday to take the steamer to Portland, where she will enter an open air sanitoriutn in the hopes that her fast failing health may be improved. She was accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Caldwell, who has been here for several weeks caring for her. We hope the change may prove beneficial Mr. Will Graham returned last week from a trip to Santa Rosa, California where he went to see his father and mother and other friends. He reports that all are well pleased with the place and talk of settling there permanently. Mr. and Mrs. A! Baker have a new son, whose arrival was announced last week. They went with Mr. and Mrs. Graham to Santa Rosa last fall. Mr. Lushbough, o( Myrtle Creek, whose ankle was badly crushed and belore proper aid could be ad ministered blood poisoning set in, had his leg amputated near the hip last Thursday, D rs, Johnson and Stemmier in attendance.
