Spokane, Noy. 25.— The sweep- takes prize of $ 1,000 for the finest exhibitoi a full carload of apples at the National apple show wnN award ed this afternoon to Tronson and Guthrie of Eagle point, Ore., for a display of Spitzenbergs. The award carries with it a gold medal banner and ths title of ‘ Ap ple King of the W orld.” The prize for the “ largest perfect apples’ ’ was awarded to L oi r nnd Ball of Metbow, Wash , for a W olf River applo weighing 25 ounces and 17 5-8 inches in circumference. A “ Spokane Beauty’’ apple weigh ing 11 ounces and 18 5 8 inches in circumference was expected to be the winner but proved to have a blemish. N O TIC E .
