W E T M O R E ’S B ID S S O U G H E D . • Notice is hereby given that the Com mon Council of the City of Coquille will receive sealed bids for the improvement of all that part of Second Street between the east side of " C ” Street and the West side of “ B” Street, according to thepiat of the original town of Coquiile City, by leveling the grade thereof to a true plane with the grade of Second Street between Hall and “ B ” Streets, and by planking the same with white cellar plank four inches in thickness and not less than eight inches in width, the full width of said street from the side walk on the one side to the side walk on tho other, except that a gutter at least eight inches in width shall he placed between the outer edge of the sidewalk and the end of the planking on each side the full length of the portion of said street to be improved. Said plank shall be laid on white cedar stringers which shall he four inches in thickness and eight inches wide, laid flat and not to exceed four feet apart. Each plank shall be well s|lfked with at least two spikes in each stringer, and all to be finished up in a workman like manner. Said im provement to be completed on or before the 1st day of July, 1900. !\wrm.n! for said improvement to be made when the assessments therefor are collected and not more than thirty days from the date of the contract. The con tractor to furnish all necessary labor and material and successful bidders will be required to given good and sufficient bond in a stun equal to the amount of their hid to be approved by the Council for the faithful performance of the con tract. The Council reserves the right to re ject any and all bids. All bids to be filed with the City Recorder on or before 5 o ’clock p. m., on the 7th day of May, 1906. Dated this 24th day of April, 1900.
