    WEDNESDAY, AUG. 2,
1906.
Governor Chambeilain Coming
Gov. Geo. E. Chamberlain is ex
a c te d at Coos llay on the Allianoo
this morning and will spend a week
or ten days in this section going
down as far as Dairyville where he
will address the W. O. W. picnic
next Saturday.
He will speak at various points
in this county as follows:—at Ban-
don, Saturday; at Coquille, Monday;
at Myrtle Point, Tuesday; at Marsh
field, Wednesday; at North Bend,
Thursday;and, if his time will per
mit, at Empiro Friday.
This is an honor of which the
Coos county people should feel
proud, and is one not often given to
a remote neck o' the woods like
ours. The inconveniences and dis
comforts of a trip to this county are
such as to discourage a person
whose time is so closely occupied as
is that of our governor; and one so
popular as our own George E. must
have a long list of urgent invita
tions constautly on hand aud more
n umerous than he can pssibly accept.
So it must require no little effort
aud self denial on his part to make
us this visit and we should see to
it that due appreciation is shown
him accordingly.
Ho will make his headquarters
while in this place at the law offices
of Stanley f i Burns and at Dr. Wet-
more's residence, and we are reli
ably informed that he desires to
meet as many of our people person
ally as he can. He has come for the
purpose of making our acquain
tance.

ed parties will visit Coos county
and meetings well doubtless be ar
ranged for. Tho farmers and dairy
people should lose no time in mak
ing preparations to take advantage
of the opportunity such meetings
would afford. Subjects of various
kinds will be handled in a scientific
manner which will be exceedingly
instructive in nature and should not
b e missed by any of our ranchers.
Full information and programs will

Too much care cannot be used
with small children during the hot
weather of the summer months to
guard agninst bowel troubles. As
a rule it is only necessary to give
the child a dose of caster oil to
correct any disorder of the bowels.
Do not use any substitute, but give
the oldfashioned castor oil, and see
that it is fresh, as ransid oil nausi-
ates and has a tendency to gripe.
If this does not check the bowels
give Ceatnberlain’s Colic, Cholers
and Diarrhoea Remedy and then a
dose of castor oil, and the disease
may be checked in its incipiency
and all danger avoided. The cas
