B o n e p a rte , Death has another time visited this section and two more lives have passed away, James Costello of this place, and William Harris, of Port Orford, being the victims. Messrs Costello and Harris started to cross out over the bar. this morn ing at 5 o’clock, in Costello’s gaso line launch, and after getting as far as the end of the south jetty, turned to come back, but after turning the engine seems to have stopped. The life saving crew were watching and had gone half-way down, and seeing that something was wrong started for the scene, but before they got there the boat was thrown upon the sofith jetty and the damage done. Costello’s body was secured with in five minutes, but life was dashed out upon the jagged rocks rather than by drowning. A small boat that was being tow ed behind was smashed to pices. The launch drifted out to son being well filled with water. The body of Harris has not been recovered as we go to press. Mr Harris was about 30 years old and Mr. Costello was past 60.— Bandon Recorder. — - - > W » «------------- T h a t T ir e d F e e lin g .
