TO PRORETY OWNERS IN COOS COUNTY
m
This w ill wphrfn to you how you e u redue«

THE OREGON FIRE RELIEF ASSOCIA
TION was organized in McMinnville, Oregon, 26 y e a n
ago, fo r the purpose o f insuring the property o f its

Are traps a n insured; no policy is issued fo r over
64*000.00 on any one piece o f property; no merchan
dise stocks, stores, garages, factories, etc.,, a « a c
cepted. Every house insured in this association must
be in good condition and in a locality w h en the fin
risk is not great! These a n the reasons why this as
sociation is able to save its policy holders approxim ate

THE FOLLOWING FACTS SHOW THE CONDITION
O P THE ASSOCIATION
,
1. The Association has. oyer 40,000 custom
ers in Oregon.
2. The Association has over 60,000 policies
in force in Oregon.
3. These policies cover property fo r m o n
than $47,000,000.00 insurance.
4. The Association has conducted a ------
fu l business fo r over 26 years and paid every loss.
6. The Association has over 700 customers
in Coos county already.
The State Insurance Commissioner says: “ A s
the strength o f a financial institution is measured by
com parison o f its surplus and assets* it is apparent
that THE OREGON FIRE RELIEF ASSOCIATION
occupies an enviable position, as its surplus is m on
than 60 par cent o f its total sheets. I f you will ex
amine other insurance corporations you will find few
which can show the same relative strength. The com
pany has an excellent reputation for promptness in tne
settlement o f its losses, and it must necessarily be fair
or it could not continue to hold the patronage o f its
members.”
• • *’• "
, ‘
' • tT
Although a mutual company, THE OREGON
FIRE RELIEF ASSOCIATION issues a policy which
is absolutely non-assessable. Its policy holders a n
NOT liable to be assessed to pay the losses o f other
members o f the Association. Under the Oregon law,
“ A mutual company with $200,000.00 o f assets and a
surplus o f over $100,000.00 created through the opera
tion o f its business, may issue policies which a n non
assessable.” THE OREGON FIRE RÉLIEF ASSO
CIATION has over $400,000.00 assets, and a surplus o f
over $160,000.00. T h en is no record o f any mutual
company ever having failed that had accumulated In
the course o f its business a net surplus o f over $60,-
000.00.
ARE YOU INTERESTED IN LOWER FIRE INSUR
ANCE RATES?

to you.
