The throat trouble that sent them down there was grea tly im prov ed, but a ease o f threatened- abscess thigh resulting from a bruise and an abnormal internal grow th o f the bone sent her to the hospital fo r an opera tion requiring several borings. It v e s en tirely successful, however, and when Mr. K elley le ft she was able to v'alk though with that thigh still in a plaster east from the knee up. Mr. K elley discourses very inter estin gly on conditions at Palm Beach, Riverside and the Im perial V alley.
