Wo got up at 6:90 now; at first wo got up at 3:46 which is summer schedule. We have breakfast at 6:46; after that wo W. T. Culbertson wads a trip to Myrtle Point fon- supplies, ha pre go to tha Infirmary. Then I make out the morning report which deals with the doings of the day before, especi ally whatever changes the number of men on duly, sick in the hoepitel, sick in quartern, and the changes in rations. The first drill to at 8:80. As alt morning with 10 off_in each hour, until 11:80. Every hour the drill changes. Dinner at 12:00. Drill again at 1:16 and on to 4.-00 «’dock. Retreat at 6:00. Mess at 6:16. Lights out in squad room at 9:00. Call to quarters at 9:46 sad taps at 10:00. 1 stay in all day and the 1st Sergeant and I have aa office so we can have a light all night if we want te. Wa get fine sate and we have a peach of a cook. We get pie or sake e couple of times a week, Truit every day and last Sunday wa had lee crease. We have had chicken e couple of times and Thanksgiving We are going to have turkey. 1 have gained 11 pounds sines I was in camp. This is some camp too, believe me. There are only 28,000 here now, but there will be 46,000. There will he about 10,090 heroes aqd mules and about 600 trucks. They will also have .a big bunch of motor cycles. Each battery with AT in. guns has 17 of thee». We were te have 3 in. guns but are going to get 4.7 that are draws on tractors. The 3 in. are drawn by 0 horese.
