The marriage of Kathryn Armstrong, daughter of Mrs. Nancy
Miller of Myrtle Point, and Elvin R. Fetch, youngest son of Wen-
delin Fetch of Riverton, was solemnized Saturday evening at eight
o’clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Calvert in Coquille.
Rev. Wilmer A. Briggs of the Methodist church, Myrtle Ponit,
read the double ring ceremony.
The rooms were decorated w ith tall
baskets with beautiful pastel shades
of gladiolus and the table was lovely
with an exquisite satin damask cloth
that Mrs. Calvert had brought from
her home in England and was »dom­
ed with the decorated wedding cake
and
silver
service arrangement
among the asters and dahlias.
The bride’s dress was dusty rose,
with white accessories, her corsage
was of gardenias and carnations.
Mrs. Leslie M iller, her matron of
honor, wore an aqua dress with black

accessories. ,
The groom wore a double breasted
suit and his brother, Joseph Fetch,
was the best man.
The bride’s mother wore a light
green dress with beautiful corsage of
carnations.
Refrehsments of cake, ice-cream
and coffee were served to the fol­
lowing guests, Mrs. Nancy Miller,
Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Wilberger, Mrs.
Leslie M iller, little daughter, Carol
Ann, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Dalrymple
and daughter, Rose Ellen, Dennis
Armstrong, Mr. and Mrs. John Leath-
erwood, Eloyse King, Mr. and Mrs.
Earl Roush, Lavarre Ramey, Wende-
lin Fetch, Joseph Fetch, Mr. and
Mrs. Roy T. Johnson and little daugh­
ter, Sard Ann, Mr. and Mrs. Phil

Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Fetch left by
car for Portland on their honeymoon

the M yrtle Grove last Sunday.

end at H artw ell’s.
Mr. and Mrs. Courtland Smith have
moved into their own home.
Mrs. Oran Holbrook had her tonsils
removed over the week-end.

Portland spent the week-end visiting

The Pollyanna club meeting was
held at Mrs. Melvin Pointer’s home
Thursday, Aug. 14th. Those attend­
ing were Mrs. Lee Mast, Mrs. Milford
Mast, and son, Gary, Mrs. Mildred
King, Mrs. Delbert King and two
children, Mike and Linda, Mrs. A1
Plumb. Mrs. Clarence Churchill and
Mrs. Frank Howard. From Myrtle
Point were Mrs. Ernest Krewson and
Mrs. Rackleff; from Dora, Mrs. Ollie
Hooper and Mrs. Harry Mast. A
very lovely potluck dinner was
served.
The Jolly Gardeners club meeting
was held at the home of Mrs. Tommy
Heyman at 1:30 Friday, Aug. 15th.
Those attending were Mrs. Reuben
Brown and daughter, Alice, Mrs. S.
A. Hutohinson, Mrs. Ben Hudson,
Mrs. I t Campbell, Mrs. Lee Mast,
Mrs. Mildred King, Mrs. A1 Plumb,

Watermelon was served. The next
meeting w ill be held at Mrs. Delbert
King’s home.
A get-together picnic waa held
Tuesday, Aug. 12th. up Middle
Creek road towards Tioga. The
picnic was started by some girls
from the mill. Those attending ,
were: Mrs. S. A. Hutchinson and
two daughters, Betty and Levina,
Mrs. Charles Smith, Mr«. George
Zeigler, Phawn Scott, Mr». E l­
roy Zeigler, Mrs. W'oodrow Kosh
and three children. Sharon, Judy
and Lynonne, Mrs. A1 Plumb,
Mrs. Mildred King. Mrs. Delbert '
King and two children, Mike and
Linda.
A very good time was
enjoyed by all In the swimming,
picnicking and fishing.
A new group has arrived at the
camp.
The small group of Camp­
fire girls from Coos Bay a r­
rived late Sunday afternoon. The !
Church of Christ group left late j
Saturday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Zeigler, Sr., re­
turned Thursday, Aug. 14th, from a
very lovely and interesting trip back
east.
Mr. and Mrs. George Glenn have
left on a trip and w ill be gone for a
■ month.
When asked where they
were going, they replied, “We’U tell
you when we return.”
Mr. Glenn’s brother, Henry Glenn,
is visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Milford
M ist and family.

Mr. and Mrs. G. S. Zeigler and
Phawn Scott are the happy hosts of
another sister, Phyllis Scott, who ar­
rived Saturday night for a two weeks
visit.

Return From New York— Mrs. Na-
loma Reiling and son, Larry, arrived
‘ at the home of her parents, Mr. and
' Mrs. Fred Zwickew recently.
Mrs. j
Reiling and Larry have just returned
to Oregon after a year’s stay in New
York. All of the unembers of their
immediate fam ily were on hand to
welcome them home. Larry stayed
to visit with his grandparents for the
remainder of thfe summer while Mrs.
Reiling drove to Oakland, California,
after a few days’ visit here, where
she w ill establish residence there for
herself and her son.
