The affair involved well laid plans made in some instances months ago and the president, Mrs. R. E. Boo be r, and her board could find no reason to postpone it all because the date coincided with V-E Day. A capacity crowd, around seventy- five or more persons, proved the de­ cision was correct. .Every chair in the banquet room was filled. Lilacs and apple blossoms predominated in the arrangements used on the tables, and a striking basket tied with a large satin bow mirrored itself against the table just in front of the president's place. Good en­ tertainment was the rousing accord­ ion music of Mrs. Pearl Ellingsen and Leah Rover, accompanied by Miss Inez Rover. Mrs. Cecilia Van Winkle, new county home demon­ stration agent, gave a brief explan­ ation of the new law to govern O.I. veteran education. Carl E.
