School Four Days
For Teachers “.
Beginning August 2, four days of
school will be field for teachers in
Coos county.
The first two days will be held in
the Washington School, Coquille, and
on Friday and Saturday in the Roose­
velt School, North Bend.

Oregon Motor Vehicles -
Registration Higher This Year
Motor vehicle registration in Ore­
gon totted 400.482 vehicles at the
end of June this year, compared to
395,007 for the same period of 1943,
Secretary of State» Bob Farrell an­
nounced today. This represents an
increase of slightly over one per cent. |
Passenger vehicles numbered 320,-
503, compared to 319,008 a year ago; i
busses totaled 1,180 against 1,068
a year ago while trucks numbered
41,964. compared to 39,650.
Registration fees for the six-month
period amounted to (83.143,011.65,
compared to fees totaling 82,969,635.-
04 a year ago.
