They are meeting their son, Ensign Jack Laird, and his wife, the former Gretchen Clinton, who are arriving from Pen­ sacola, Florida. The young couple were married last March, just after Jack received his commission. He en­ listed in the Navy Air Corps two years ago. They left the same evening, for Portland, on a delayed honeymoon and visit with Fred's mother. Yvonne was a bridesmaid Sunday evening at five o'clock at the wedding of Miss Nadine Koehler', who had been maid of honor of Yvonne’s wedding earlier this month. They will return Jan­ uary 6. Mrs. Joe Nilsen, formerly of Riv­ erton but now living at Langlois, writes that her son, .Major H. E. Johnson, and Mrs. Johnson, visited at the Nilsen home last week. Major Johnson has been head dentist at Prairie Field, Everett, Wash., but has been transferred to Muroc, Calif., where he will be in charge of the den­ tal department.
