Warren E. Rhule Promoted
To Sergeant In Air Forces

Return To Coquille From Seattle
A Coquille - resident, Warren E.
Rhyle, has been promted to Sergeant,
Air Forces, it is announced from
Kirtland Field, Albuquerque, New
Mexico.
The sergeant is the son of W. W.
Rhule of Coquille and, prior to en­
tering the service, was employed as
a logger. In high school he was an
outstanding athlete, having been
awarded letters for three years in
football, boxing and traqk.
Sergeant Rhule enlisted in Van­
couver, Washington, in 1940. He has
been stationed at Stockton, Sacra­
mento, Moffett and Hamilton Fields.
Now, at Kirtland Field, he is on duty
as a baker with a headquarters
squadron at the bombardier training
school.
The sergeant’s promotion is based
upon his initiative and leadership
and is in accord with the policy of the
Army Air Forces to reward men of

merit.
Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Throckmorton
and four-year old daughter, Susan,
returned last Friday from Seattle,
where they have been the past few
years and will again make their home
in Coquille, in the Fred McClellan
house on Coulter street. Mr. Throck­
morton will be employed by McClel­
lan & Watson at Myrtle Point.
Mrs Throckmorton, who was for­
merly Marjorie McClellan, says she
is very happy to get back to Çoquille
and away from a big city.
