Lebanon, Oregon. Mrs. Lillie Johnson spent Thanks giving with Mr. and Mrs. Donald Phillips and son in Coquille. Mrs. Alma Halter, of Coquille, vis ited last Saturday and Sunday with Mrs. Amanda Johnson, . Mr. and Mrs. Bud Ryan spent Thanksgiving at Dora with Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Mayse. Charles Gaslin fell and hurt his leg while working at the Kline logging camp on Wednesday of last week and was taken to the Coquille Hospital. Mrs. Juanita Hedden and K. O, at North Bernhardt, of Marshfield, visited in yellow jaundice the valley last Monday. Margie Ryan, of Coquille, speM was a Monday Thanksgiving, with her parents, Mr. Evana. and Mrs. Lawrence Ryan. Mr. and Mrs. Faye Hoiverstott and daughter returned home last Friday, after spending the holidays with her parents^ Mr. and Mrs. D. W Rankin, in Eugene. Rev. and Mrs. W. J. Wheeler have returned home from Eugene, where they spent Thanksgiving with her The Fairview Grange met last Sat urday evening at the grange hall for their regular meeting. Mrs. Ray Norris and Mrs. Charles Holveratott were hostesses. Lunch of sandwiches, cookies and coffee were furnished by the H. E. C. The Fairview grange ladies H.E.C. will meet on Wednesday of next week at the grange hail, with Mrs. Harry Hubbell, of Coquille, as hostess. Mr. and Mrs. Faye Hoiverstott and daughter have moved to the Elmer Goodwin hosue. . Norway News Items Mr. and Mrs. Z. C. Strang were ovfer night guests of Mrs. Emma Her- man last Wednesday at the J. H. Mc- Closkey home. Thursday morning Mrs. Herman’s daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Dietz, of Myrtle , Point, drove to Marshfield and met their daughter, Miss Glide Dietz, who came down from Portland to visit her parents and relatives over the Thanksgiving holiday and Thurs day evening Mr. and Mrs. Z. C. Strang, Mrs. Elizabeth Lett and son Leslie, Mrs. Emma Herman, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Dietz and daughter Giida, were Thanksgiving dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Peterson. Mr. and Mrs. Dietz and Giida stayed at the McCloskey home Thursday night and Friday morning Mrs. Herman accom panied her daughter and family to their home in Myrtle Point and spent the day, returning to Norway that evening with the Dietz’s as they went to Marshfield taking their daughter to meet Mr. and Mrs. Sprig Zumwalt, who were returning to Portland. Mrs. R. R. Rackleff. Mrs. Waiter Kruger and Mrs. Josephine Hayse ac companied Mrs. Ralph Pointer to Marshfield last Friday spending the day shopping. W. W. Deyoe and A. R. Bennett are doing a repair job of a week or ten days for Richard Alien in the Fox Bridge district. However, they could not get out there to work Monday morning due to the high water which is over the road in places. Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Haughton were Thanksgiving dinner guests of their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. I Alden Mast. Mrs. E. F. Brodie's aunt, Mrs. R. R. Sooper, has been quite ill the past week or ten days at her home about a mile south of Myrtle Point. Alfred Kellenberger was away on business over Thanksgiving so his wife qpent the day with their son and family, Alfred Kellenberger Jr., at Coquille. Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Benentt and Mrs. Julia Leep took Thanksgiving dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wannamaugher in Myrtle Point. Mr. and Mrs. Mike Daniels went to Roseburg last Tuesday for the Home- coming of the Rebekahs. A potluck dinner was served to all present at 6:30 p. m. Mrs. Daniels said it was the first time they had attended in years and it afforded them an oppor tunity to meet many old friends. They returned Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Duward Druliner and family of Broadbent, spent Thanks giving with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Druliner, of Norway. Mr. and Mrs. Enno Domath and family came in Wednesday evening and spent the day Thanksgiving with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Daniels. Mr. Dornath is employed at , the Johnson sawmill near Bradford' Station. Mrs. Julia Leep and Mrs. A. R. I Bennett took dinner Saturday with I Mr. and Mrs. C. H.
