Norway News Items Teachers' Annual Meeting Tomorrow Teacher* of ' Coo* county. Curry county and also of Reedsport are I planning to meet in the Marshfield , - high School on Friday, October 30. This program 1* almost entirely lec ture in type and the subjects are such that they will appeal also to people- other than teachers. Dr. Victor Mor ri*, in speaking of America’s place in world affairs, will spend consider able time on post war conditions. Dr. U. Q. Dubach will also speak on a subject of vital concern in the war program. This meeting will also.af ford an opportunity for outsider* who are not acquainted with State Supt. Rex Putnam to hear him speak on the schools’ part in the war. Also, Dr. Frank W. Parr, of the Oregon State Teachers’ Association, will make hi* first visit to the teacher* in Coos county. Coos Bay Arago News Mrs. Ward Evan* spent the past week at Grants Pass attending the W. C. T. U. convention there. She returned home Saturday evening and reported she had a splendid time while away Mrs. Charles Gale, of Klamath Falls, formerly Maxine Rackieff came in Tuesday night and spent the rest of the week visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Rackieff. Mr. Rackieff drove to Roseburg to meet her as she could not make bus connections. Mir. Gale came in. Sunday morning and Mrs. Gale returned home with him that same day. . , Mrs. Lawrence Rackieff attended a “War Bond Sale"'meeting heM at Msrshfied Tuesday evening. Mrs. Gu* Schroeder has been ill for wveral days and Mrs. Fragk Miller ha* been working for her. Mr. and Mr*. Charles Griffith and family were Sunday guest* at the home of Mr. and Mr*. Nile Miller. Mrs. Mike Fairchild and children and Mr. and Mr*. Wiley Cornwell and family visited at the home of Mr. and Mr*. Wm. Knabe over the weekend. Mr. and Mr*.
