Mrs. Gladys Gano, who maintains
headquarters for Red Cross materials,
reports that yam for wristlets, muf­
flers, helmets and sweaters has been
received and knitters may secure
their supplies at any time from her.
Also received was material for ten
hospital shirts and tor children's
rompers.

After the reading, the various units
went into action and all of them most
efficiently demonstrated what they
would do if Mr Bedingifeld’s prob­
lem, which read as follows, had hap­
pened:

open but traffic restricted to po­
lice, army and relief work.

Honored By Order Faeirrn Star
Members of Beulah Chapter, O. E.
S. enjoyed a very interesting meet­
ing last Thursday evening, with de­
grees and reports from Grand Chap­
ter. The Chapter room was beauti­
fully decorated with huge baskets of
flowers. Candidates wire initiated
into the order and expressed their ap­
preciation for membership.
Maxine Jeub, grand Electa, and Bess
Maury, grand representative of Rhode
Island, were presented with beautiful
corsages. Mrs. Jeub gave a short
talk which was most interesting. The
day was the birthday of the Worthy
Patron, Julius Ruble, and five broth­
ers conferred a degree on him, en­
titled, “The Neglected Men.”
Mrs. Maud Woodyard was hon­
ored because of her faithful service
to Beulah Chapter. As a tribute of
affection for her, Gertrude Ulett,
In her gracious manner and with an
appropriate poem, presented Mrs.
Woodyard with handkerchiefs from
members of the Chapter. A song,,
dedicated to Mrs. Woodyard was sung ’
by the choir while she was still in the
east with Sister Gertrude. The song,
composed by Florabelle Boober, was
sung to the tune of “Down the Long,
Long Trail.”
Following adjournment of the
meeting, refreshments of coffee and
cake were served in the banquet
room.. There were three large birth­
day cakes in honor of Mr. Ruble gnd
the tables were well decorated with
flowetg.
