Extra Gasoline
Increases Haxards
TWENTY YEARS AGO
A dangerous practice which is re­
ported to be increasing is that of
carrying quantities of gasoline in the
car in containers other than the regu­
lar gasoline tank, according to the
Oregon State Motor Association,
which emphasises that this creates a
special hazard to occupants of the
vehicle as well as to other highway
users.

Another'important fact is that this
practice probably voids the motorist’s
car insurance, and he might be un­
able to collect damages following an
accident even though the extra gaso­
line was not a contributing cause.

years old -was suggested at the meet­
ing of the Woman’s Club held last
Tuesday evening and the idea of oel-‘,

eant was enthusiastically received.
