First Summer Meeting of B. P. W. Attend 4-H Club Summer School Ninety-three 4-H club members of Coos county were transported to Cer- 1 vallis Tuesday, Jyne 2, in four busses June 2-12. ’ While at Corvallis attending Sum­ mer School, the Coos county girls will be housed at the Kappa Sigma house and the boys at various bouses, placed according to age group. In each house chaperons, composed of county club agenta, local club leaders and others are present. ' They are divided Into groups for classes and recreational activities. Be­ sides the required subjects, they have choice in subjects in which they are most interested. After a . daily as­ sembly program and classes, they are encouraged to participate in the supervised recreational activities— swimming,, ball games of. all sorts; etc. Free movies are shown in the evenings. They are taken to visit the different place of interest on the cam­ pus , and the College experimental farms. They are given instruction in the various 4-H projects and are given, an opportunity to make new friends with club members throughout the State. A committee was appointed to assist in the U. S. O drive to be held June 8. The club voted to donate 810.00 to this organization. A new member, Mrs. Idyl Godard, was voted into the club.’ Plans are under way tar a pub­ lic card party to be held at the Guild Hall on June 15th. Bridge, pinochle and checkers will be played.
