Another Pioneer I Gone To Rest ,-T"' 1 Mrt- M«y C. Barker, 91, a great great granddaughter of Daniel Boone, Pa«ed away at her* home in Myrtle Point «1 three o'clock Saturday morn- ing^Aprtl 25, after aa illness of only a week, She was bom Mary Caroline NorMs, daughter of Thomas and Mary Boone Nprris at Corvallis, Oregon, September 1«, 1850. She had taught school at both Co quille and Marshfield before her marriage to John L Barker, Septem ber 12, 1871, They made their homo at Fairview, selling out in 1921 and moving to Myrtle Point. They cele brated their fiftieth wedding anniver sary wlht a big picnic gathering of the relatives and friends that'same year. Their children, seven sons and one daughter, grew to maturity at Fair view, and many of them and their children are still Coos county resi dents. Mr. Barker and two of the sons, Glen and Verner, died a num ber of years ago, but the surviving children were all present for Mrs. Barker's funeral. They are Fred W. Barker of Medford; Clyde A. Barker, of Coquille; John L. Barker, of Ten nille, and Jesse M. and Edwin C. Barker and Mrs. Birdie Hazelton^ of Myrtle Point. There are eighteen grandchilden, 28 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. FuneraL services were read by the Rev. C. H.
