The second Fish Pond to raise money for the state president’s hobby was sufficient for the amount required. The bobby for thia year was the purchase of Jinoleum for the state headquarter* in Portland. Ail officer* were present Tuesday. The next meeting will be on March 24, when there will be in itiation and observance of all March birthdays. American Legion Auxiliary Meets The regular March meeting of the American Legion Auxiliary was held last Monday evening at the Legion hall home. The Auxiliary observed the twenty-third birthday of ths American Legion with a party. Cake and coffee was served to the mem bers of both the auxiliary and the host. Dr. J. R. Bunch allowed his films of movies taken <m his trip to Cuba, and also of a trip taken to Mount Hood, showing pictures of the winter sports carnival. During the busihess meeting the group voted to place an order for 1500 poppies for the annual sale of pop pies in May. Mrs. Chard was a co hostess, with Mr*. Mabel Kyle mg. Mr*. Chard won the raffle apd Mr*. Norma Hickenbottom the door prise. The club will meet with Mr*. Hickenbottom on March 26. Myrtle Club Meet* On March 6, the Myrtle chib met with Angie Yoskam. Mrs. Heath and Mrs. Miller were guests. The club will meet in two weeks with Helen Anderson.
