Clubs Active
RESOURCES
With the beginning of the new
school year, 4-H club work is well
started in Riverton. Four clubs have
already organized and elected their
officers. On Friday, which is River­
ton’s 4-H day, at least two more
clubs will organize. Those already
functioning include Clothing 1, and
Room Improvement 1, with Miss Opal
Robison, leader; Mr. White the 7£h
and 8th grade teacher has charge of
a woddworking club.
Mrs. Mary
Ellen Bogard, and her assistant
leader, Patricia Rawe, have aided in
organizing a grade school art club.
To earn money for 4-H club schol­
arships this year, the leaders are
planning to publish “The Neighbor­
hood Cook book," and are welcoming
the choice recipes of Riverton’s good
cooks.
Pot-Luck Dinner
At Fot Elk School
The school children of the Fat Elk
school invite the patrons of their
district and any other friends who
care to come, to a potluck dinner to
be held Friday evening, Oct. 10, at
eight o’clock. Each family is asked
to bring one hot dish, bread and but­
ter enough for one’s own family and
dishes. Coffee will be furnished.
Following dinner,' Mrs. Florence
Oerding, their teacher, will speak on
“Mexico” and display many articles
purchased on her recent trips into
the southern republic. She win pre­
sent a zarape to some one present as
a door prize.

Church Has Cradle
Roll Party
There was a Cradle Roll party for
the babies of the Church oL Christ
Friday afternoon at the church par­
lors. Mrs. Donald Farr and Mrs.
Alan Rhay supervised the children
while they played games and colored.
Mrs. Dan W. Brown and Mrs. E. H.
O’Dell, CradU Roll teachers, ar­
ranged a program for Cradle Roll
mothers, and Mrs. O'Dell, cradle
roll superintedent, called the roll
Mrs. Brown talked about the pur­
pose and aims of the department
and emphasized its importance in
early child training.
Mrs. Elwyn
Nosier read a charming poem. A
featured speaker was Mrs. Dprothy
Bishop, home demonstration agent,
who talked about nutrition.
Following Mrs. Bishop’s talk, the
Cradle Roll youngsters, joined their
mothers and listened to Mrs. Elwyn
Nosier read a story. Dixie cups .of
ice cream and graham crackers were
served to the following: Mrs. E. L,
Graham and Leighton Leigh; -Mrs.
Berlyn Billings and Dennis, Mrs.
Ronald Burr and Jo-Deanne, Mrs.
Raymond Dalton and Kathleen, Mrs
