Mahaffey’s sisters, Jean and June Elliott, of Silverton, were guest» Tuesday and Wednesday at the Roy Wheeler home Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Ritchie, who moved to Marshfield about a month ago, plan to return here June 21. Mr«. Harold Gould gave a birthday They have rented a house on South party Friday for her daughter, Jane, Heath street. who waa celebrating her 6th birthday. In accordance with Jane's wishes, the party was patriotic, with a rod, white and bine color scheme that waa even carried out in decorating the birth day cake. Each of Jane’s guests re ceived a little doll for a favor. Guests from Myrtle Point were R om Mary and Roberta Rickard and Martelle Roper. Other guests included Diana Schroeder, Virginia George, Marcia Mauney, Patty Ray Deitetan, Nancy Perrott, Patty Brown, Helen Taylor, Mavis Newton, Jimmie and Joan Hatcher, Peter Harvey and Jane’s brother, Ken Gould. James McGuffin won the club prixe. Members were busy during the aftar- noon with faneywork. Questa were Lillian Bennett, Carlino Matson, and Mr*. Ed Aasen. Hartwell for five years the only woman director of the Ore gon Fox and Mink Breeders associa tion, announced Sunday at a meeting of the Coquille Unit of the organisa tion held at the A. Barrow place near Bandon, that she would not be a candidate for re-election this fall. Increased work in connection with her own fox farm makes it Impossible for Mrs. Hartwell to devote her ener gies to the state association. Harold Potts, president, conducted the busi ness meeting. Chief measure taken was to divide the Auxiliary membership into 12 groups so each group might work ou all committees for one month, thus giving everyotie an equal op portunity to participate in lodge af fairs.
