Teachers Ass'n To Meet At Bay The Cornerstone club of the Church of Christ met Wednesday afternoon at the Church Parlors for “Garden Dey.” ' Each member brought her secret sister a flower or a plant. Mrs. T., F. Harrington spoke competently on the subject of gardening. Mem­ bers of the refreshment committee were Mrs, J. H. Boots,* Mrs. Tom Stevens and Mrs. Harold Stevens. Members present included Mesdames Clinton Bash, Doffis Bash, Berlyn Billings. George Chapman, W. A. Earls, Donald Farr T. 8. Harrington, Elwyn Nosier, Elmer Winsloe, Everett Denny, Amzy Mintonye and V. E. Crim. , . * Fourth Saturday, 8:00 a. m., Brook­ ings. A joint meeting of the Primary and Intermediate Teachers’ Associations will be held in the Boy Scout cabin in Mingus Park at Marshfield Satur­ day, April 5. The meeting will be­ gin promptly at 8:30 o’clock. The entire group will gather at the cabin. Later two divisions will set out on field trips. Mrs. Olive Barber will lead those interested in bird life and Mrs. L. E. Brown will have charge of the group who wish to study wild flowers. Mrs. Hilda Reiher, Coos county or­ ganizer for the Audobon society, will be present with Audobon material for those who are interested. After returning to the cabin, all will ehjoy a potluck luncheon. Business meetings will be held in both divisions, during which there will be reports by the delegates sent to the Oregon State Teachers* asso­ ciation and election of officers for the following year. A regional meeting of the associa­ tion for Childhood Education will be held on this same date at the Junior High School. auditorium in Roseburg. ■ Nursery, kindergarten and primary teachers of Lane, Josephine, Douglas Jackson and Coos counties are urged to-attend. Mrs. Helen Lehman state president of the association, will con­ duct the meeting the purpose of which is to form a regional division of the A. C- E. While this meeting conflicts , with that planned by the county di- ’ vision it is hoped that some members will attend.
