Star meeting.
During the business meeting, over

ner party Friday to be given for Mrs.
Faye Ambrose, associate grand ma­
tron.
Dr. June Marton, associate
grand conductress, will be a state dig­
nitary attending the banquet. Prior
to the dinner, a school of instruction

While many of the seniors’were
disporting themselves at the Assem­
bly dunce Saturday evening, a group
!uf the younger set gathered rft the
|T. S. Stevens home for a Valentine
I party given by Jack Stevens. Rooms
of the Stevens home were cleared for
i dancing, and decorated in typical Val-
j entine style. Balloons hung from the
ceiling, red heart decorations adorned
| the walls and, during dancing inter-
I missions, there were Valentine games.
Even refreshments, which included
ice cream hearts, carried the Val­
entine motif.

Donna Rankin, Ardella Shelley,
Gwen Elrod, Shirley Snyder, Vera

A refreshingly different party was
given Thursday afternoon by Mrs.
Roy Wheeler, when she entertained
Ace of Club members at an indoor
picnic lunch. Each guest was provid­
ed with a paper bag, which contained
traditional picnic viands. Coffee was
served from gallon thermos jugs.
Atop the bags of lunch were score
cards for pinochle.

were judged the Assembly’s best ex­
ponents of the waltz. To Mrs. Ray
Jeub and Luckey Bonney went the
second prize. Mrs. Marlin Brandon
and Dave Rackleff were third in line
with honors.

Dallas, music instructor in the Myrtle
Point schools, played a violin solo.
His selection was so beautifully exe­
cuted that members of his audience
are hoping he will consent to play
at another dance.
