of Portland, a specialist in psychiatric
social work, talk on the subject “The
Child Will Grow Out of It—A Perni­
cious Concept.”
Mr. East. wili speak at 8:00 p. m.
at Guild hall. Visitors are invited
to share the privilege of hearing him.
The business meeting will follow Mr.
East's talk.

Lucky member of the Roy Mothers’
club Tuesday evening was Mrs. Bess
Willard, who won not only the house
prize, at the party given by Mrs.
Edna Rakestraw and Mr». Cora
Mackey at the Rakestraw home, but
also won a prize for her skill in
coming out on top at the evening's
games. Refreshments were served by
the two hostesses to the folpwing club
members: Mesdames Mary Johnson,
Margaret Detlefsen, Bess Willard and
Lena McNair.
The Eagles Auxiliary potluck
luncheon was held Wednesday at the
home of Mrs. Mollie Hughes. Dur­
ing the afternoon, sewing was put
aside several times so that the ladies
might draw chances for various
prizes. The winners were Mrs. Mabel
Kyle, travelling prize; Mrs. Naomi
Dunham, penny raffle, and Mrs. Vir­
ginia Heintzelman, door prize. At­
tending the meeting were Mesdames
Evelyn Brown, Virginia Heintzelman,
Margaret Spores, Mabel Kyle, Ruby
Belle Knife Hospital
An eight and one-half pound baby
box. who has not yet been named,
was born to Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth
Kistner at the hospital yesterday.
Ralph Herman, of Bandon, under­
went a major operation last Sunday.
